About Lisa
I’m one of those rarest of people—a mid-life convert. My parents didn’t embrace Christianity, so neither did I. That worked for quite a while. But as I aged, I yearned for something more.
Then, my world changed forever. As a newly elected city council member, I struggled in a contentious meeting. That day the mayor gave me a list of Bible verses to take home and read, starting me on a trek through the New Testament. Several months later, on the morning when daylight savings time ended, I used my extra hour to go to church. That did it. I was hooked!
Over the years, Calvin and I have had a terrific journey in ministry together. We were thrilled to see our articles appear in national publications, including Pulpit Helps, The Lutheran Digest, Evangel, the Godly Business Woman, and Quaker Life. We presented many retreats and traveled around the country as I told my story to countless Christian women’s groups.
These days I express my faith in a special way through my daily devotionals for women. It is my joy to comfort, inspire, and guide others on their own spiritual paths.
Calvin and I have four grown children, and we enjoy the mountain scenery at our Colorado home.
